Dow Wavers as Stocks Trade Sideways
A market in need of a catalyst got a few on Thursday, but stocks traded sideways anyway.
The Dow was down 60 points, or 0.2%, while the S&P 500 was flat. The Nasdaq Composite was up 0.1% but losing steam.
Nvidia’s earnings report, a revision to 0.2% from 0.3% for the first-quarter’s GDP decline, a solid bond auction, and a ruling blocking tariffs individually could have lifted the market if stocks weren’t already starting to near their highest levels on record.
