Wall Street Is Holding Its Breath. Just Look at the Dow.
Stocks have been trading sideways all day, but the Dow, especially, has been stuck in a narrow range.
The blue-chip index was recently up 17 points, moving in and out of positive territory. It has traded as low as 42,710.09 and as high as 42,925.94. At just 215.85 points between its intraday low and high, the Dow is on track for its narrowest daily trading range in more than four months.
The last time the Dow had a narrower range was Jan. 24, when it traded within a range of 213.3 points, according to Dow Jones Market Data.
