The Stock Market Keeps Grinding Higher. That’s Encouraging.
The stock market perked back up on Wednesday after an early stumble shortly after the open.
The S&P 500 rose 0.3%. The Nasdaq Composite rose 0.3%. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 130 points, or 0.3%.
Though it was far from an “all-clear” for the Federal Reserve to start cutting interest rates, the May CPI showed fears about tariffs sending prices surging haven’t yet come to pass.
