BrokerLink, a subsidiary of Intact Financial, has bolstered its presence in Canada with the acquisition of three regional insurance brokerages.

Financial details of the three deals remain undisclosed.

The acquired companies are Avergate Insurance and Keyes Insurance Brokers in Ontario, and CDM Insurance Brokers in Alberta.

Avergate Insurance, which has been operational in Markham and North York since 2016, specialises in high-net-worth personal insurance.

The company also provides commercial insurance advice with a focus on sectors such as construction and cyber insurance.

Keyes Insurance Brokers, established in Gananoque in 1926, is a family owned brokerage offering specialty commercial and personal insurance products.

In Alberta, CDM Insurance Brokers brings more than 20 years of experience in personal home and auto insurance to the BrokerLink network.

BrokerLink president Joe D’Annunzio said: "With these three acquisitions, we are strengthening our presence in two provinces where we have deep roots, allowing us to serve more customers with insurance solutions, while reinforcing our commitment to supporting Canadian communities.

In March, the company acquired Bankers and Traders Insurance in Edmonton, Aspen Insurance Brokers in Calgary and SeaLand Insurance in St. John’s.

Aspen Insurance is known for its coverage in personal home, auto, travel and commercial insurance.

Bankers and Traders Insurance specialises in high-net-worth personal insurance, while SeaLand Insurance operates in the marine industry.

BrokerLink is a Canadian property and casualty insurance brokerage with a network that includes more than 200 branches, and employs over 4,000 people.
