Simply Asset Finance announced in a press release that its Liverpool office has originated £50 million in funding since its launch in 2023, reflecting what it described as its continued growth in the North West and its efforts to support SMEs in the region.
In the first quarter of 2025, the Liverpool team recorded a 127% increase in origination volumes compared to the same period in 2024. Customer numbers rose 38% year-on-year, underscoring the company’s regional strategy focused on long-term support for local businesses.
Since opening, the Liverpool office has provided funding to more than 500 businesses across the North West, Simply AF said. Demand has been particularly strong in sectors including light commercial vehicles (LCVs), transport, construction and manufacturing.
The team has also grown significantly. Staff numbers have increased from four to nine, with ongoing recruitment aiming to expand the headcount beyond 20. The business has relocated offices three times in the city to accommodate its growing operations and has made investment in talent development a key part of its regional approach.
This includes the introduction of a graduate training programme, participation in university careers fairs, and involvement in the Leasing Foundation’s Next Generation Network. To date, four trainees have advanced into roles across sales, supervisory and management functions.
John Wiles, Managing Director at Simply Asset Finance, said: “The growth the team have delivered so far, supporting over 500 businesses and delivering £50 million in funding, reflects the strong demand for tailored financial solutions in the region.
“The city’s wealth of talent and entrepreneurial spirit aligns with Simply’s mission to provide businesses with the financial support they need to thrive.”
Mike Randall, CEO of Simply Asset Finance, added: “The impressive momentum we’ve seen from our Liverpool team so far in 2025 demonstrates the extent of our reach. We’re committed to building on this success and bringing tailored finance to those who need it most – wherever they are based.”
"Simply Asset Finance passes £50m funding milestone in Liverpool" was originally created and published by Leasing Life, a GlobalData owned brand.
