Earnings Preview: What to Expect From Coca-Cola's Report

Atlanta, Georgia-based The Coca-Cola Company (KO) is a beverage company that manufactures and sells various nonalcoholic beverages in the United States and internationally. With a market cap of $302.7 billion, KO offers sparkling soft drinks, water, enhanced water, juices and juice drinks, sports drinks, ready-to-drink teas, coffees, and dairy and energy drinks.

KO is expected to announce its fiscal Q2 earnings results on Tuesday, July 22. Ahead of this event, analysts expect the beverage giant to report a profit of $0.84 per share, flat year-over-year from $0.84 per share in the year-ago quarter. The company has surpassed Wall Street's bottom-line estimates in each of the past four quarters, which is impressive.

For fiscal 2025, analysts expect KO to report an EPS of $2.97, up 3.1% year over year from $2.88 in fiscal 2024. Moreover, in FY2026, the company’s EPS is expected to increase 8.1% annually to $3.21.

KO stock has grown 11.2% over the past 52 weeks, outperforming the Consumer Staples Select Sector SPDR Fund’s (XLP) 5.7% rise but lagging behind the S&P 500 Index’s ($SPX) 13.6% uptick during the same time frame.

KO shares closed up marginally on Apr. 29, following the release of its Q1 results. The company’s revenue came in at $11.13 billion, above the forecasted $11.12 billion. Moreover, its adjusted EPS amounted to $0.73, successfully beating the consensus estimate by 2.8%.

Wall Street analysts are highly optimistic about KO’s stock, with a "Strong Buy" rating overall. Among 23 analysts covering the stock, 20 recommend "Strong Buy," two suggest “Moderate Buy,” and one advises “Hold.” KO’s average analyst price target of $80 indicates a potential upside of 13.1% from the current levels.
