Big Tech Rally Broadens. Other Sectors Rise.
A rally in Big Tech started to broaden in early afternoon trading.
The Nasdaq Composite was up 0.8%, while the S&P 500 was up 0.4%. The Dow was up 150 points, or 0.4%.
Big Tech was still in the driver’s seat, but now five of the 11 major S&P 500 sectors were on the rise, with nearly half of the S&P 500 stocks set to close higher. That’s a big reversal from earlier, when the vast majority of stocks were down.
