Big technology stocks made their best effort to carry the market on Thursday.

The S&P 500 was moving in and out of positive territory even though roughly 338 stocks in the index were falling. The Dow was up 60 points, or 0.1%. The Nasdaq Composite was up 0.6%

Most stocks were listless with long-term Treasury yields near their highs of the year.
