Occupational health services provider Concentra Group has completed the acquisition of Pivot Onsite Innovations from Athletico Physical Therapy for $55m.

This strategic move will expand Concentra's onsite health services, with the combined organisation now operating around 350 clinics across more than 40 states.

Concentra president and chief financial officer Matt DiCanio said: “We are very excited about the addition of Pivot Onsite Innovations to Concentra Onsite Health.

“This collaboration doubles the size of our growing Concentra Onsite Health operating segment and fully aligns with our business, mission, and growth strategy. It truly showcases our commitment to not only investing in but also scaling our onsite health clinics business.”

Pivot Onsite Innovations has been delivering occupational health and wellness services for over two decades, enhancing employee health outcomes nationwide.

The integration into Concentra's Onsite Health division will utilise more than 50 years of collective experience, aiming to improve the health of America's workforce.

Pivot Onsite Innovations founder and chief medical officer Dr Lawrence Goren said: “The goal for the streamlined single organisation is to build on the past decades of providing high-quality service to customers while offering advancement opportunities for our colleagues.

“Together, we can deliver expanded services and continue to build on what each of us has achieved individually.”

The acquisition, signed in April, will see a seamless transition for Pivot's clients, with continuation of services currently provided.

Now supported by Concentra's broader resources, the patients at Pivot will receive care from their existing teams.

Pivot’s key professionals encompassing Dr Goren and his associates, have joined Concentra Onsite Health, contributing their expertise.

The transaction was funded through cash reserves and borrowing capacity from Concentra's existing credit facility.
