Elon Musk's net worth tumbled on Thursday as a bitter dispute erupted between him and President Donald Trump.
Musk's net worth fell by about $34 billion to $335 billion, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index. The Tesla CEO remains the world's richest person, ahead of Meta Platforms CEO Mark Zuckerberg and Amazon founder Jeff Bezos.
Much of Musk's eye-watering fortune comes from his stakes in SpaceX and Tesla. A brutal selloff in Tesla stock was likely one factor behind Thursday's wealth wipeout, with shares in the electric vehicle maker plummeting by more than 14% as the feud between Musk and Trump ignited.
